Due to the highly contagious nature of COVID-19 LOWWD will utilize the following procedures to ensure that business can continue as uninterrupted as possible.
First and foremost, staff safety and health are our primary concern.
Staff will not shake hands or hug clients until the spread of COVID-19 has passed. We recommend an elbow bump or no contact at all.
In the event that any staff member has symptoms or feels that they may have been exposed to the virus: they are to stay at home for the recommended 14-day quarantine and begin utilizing the work from home protocol.
In an effort to minimize the risk to staff from exposure to the virus, LOWWD will begin spraying Lysol in the Library and conference room after each appointment. Door handles, as well as anything else that is touched, will be wiped clean with a Lysol wipe.
If Sanford or Pittsboro reach an infected level of 100, the offices WILL NOT physically see clients until such time as it is deemed safe from local Health Officials.
In the event that pandemic levels do arise, all client contact will be via email and telephone.
If Sanford or Pittsboro reach an infected level of 500, ALL STAFF WILL STAY HOME until such time as it is deemed safe from local Health Officials.
In the event that pandemic levels are reached of 500, work-from-home-procedures will be the standard running of LOWWD until deemed safe from Local Health Officials and will not be removed until a 14-day quarantine has been observed.
Considering the ever-changing information and updates from the CDC on COVID-19 these procedures and policy may change at any time per the need. This policy is effect March 13, 2020.
